Hard Turning

Grinding method of hardened high accuracy materials for automobile parts to be substituted by turning started about 20 years ago. It became possible because the accuracy of NC lathes has been improved and CBN tools have been developed. Furthermore, high accuracy in hard turning has been pursued and gradually realized.
FUJI has pursued the possibility of hard turning by the collaboration with cutting tool, automobile, and bearing manufacturers. As the result, we have released high accuracy lathes such as FAN31P, VN40P, ANS31P, PN.

FUJI was established as a manufacturer of hydraulic single-function machine and has produced various lathes. FUJI's lathes have evolved with the advancement of technology and finally achieved submicron turning.

Also, we started working on in the field of hard turning in the early 1980's with our customers before anyone else. Now, we are trying to develop larger submicron turning machines with higher accuracy.
